James Gunn and the cast of the upcoming Superman reboot are in the spotlight with a fresh behind-the-scenes trailer from the DC Universe. The year 2025 is set to be pivotal in the legacy of the Man of Steel, as David Corenswet prepares to revive this beloved hero on the big screen this summer in DC Studios' Superman. As the anticipation builds ahead of the release, the marketing efforts continue to roll out, providing fans with exciting glimpses of the film.

In celebration of Superman Day on April 18, DC Studios joined the festivities by unveiling a new BTS trailer for the upcoming film. This featurette offers fans a chance to hear from Gunn, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran, and several cast members as they share insights about the new project.

The trailer highlights various actors and the co-CEOs discussing the significance of the Man of Tomorrow while hinting at the future of the new DCU franchise. In addition to the featurette, fans were treated to new merchandise releases, including Funko Pop! figures, to mark the occasion.

Key locations like the Fortress of Solitude and the Daily Planet are given a closer look in the featurette, along with a sneak peek at Lex Luthor's armored soldiers, designed closely resembling the iconic Lexosuits from the comics. The trailer also showcases impressive practical effects, including physical Superman robots. The footage gives a glimpse into some major filming locations, while the cast is seen during their time on set.

Another exciting aspect of the behind-the-scenes footage for Superman highlights additional DC heroes making an appearance in the film. While these characters were briefly glimpsed in the first trailer, the latest footage offers a closer look at Hawkgirl and Metamorpho's costumes. Notably, Anthony Carrigan's character will utilize a blend of makeup and visual effects. We also catch a glimpse of several Daily Planet staff members, including Wendell Pierce as Perry White.

From what we've seen in the new Superman featurette, it’s evident that a lot of thought and care has gone into bringing Clark Kent back to the big screen. With just a few months until the release, we can likely expect the next Superman trailer to drop soon. Each reveal builds anticipation, and the future of the DC Universe is looking brighter than ever.
